With the items given to us in the JP version of the demo, we’re able to just barely squeeze in two SRMs with custom heap manipulations, along with a fish allocation in Goron City to perform a current cutscene SRM wrong warp to the credits. This version of Ocarina of Time included in the Masterpieces selection in Super Smash Brothers Brawl is a timed demo of the game (5 minutes) which includes 2 save files: one starting as Child with nothing except the intro cutscene cleared and another as Adult with small amount of progression after turning adult. For speedrunner Savestate, however, that wasn’t quite good enough instead, they figured out a way to beat The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time within the four minutes and fifty seconds allowed by the demo. Maybe you can clear a boss fight or grab a Power Star if you’re quite good at whatever game you’re trying. Normally, these demos are a cool way to experience the opening moments of a game. Brawl famously features a handful of timed demos for classic Nintendo games, such as Star Fox 64 and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, among a few others.
